Manual QA testing services
Manual QA testing on real devices by real people
Our QA analysts test your web and mobile apps the way customers use them. Exploratory sessions find the unexpected. Scripted regression passes confirm nothing old broke. Every bug arrives reproduced, documented and ranked.
Human led software testing
Why manual testing still matters
Automation is excellent at checking the same thing the same way every time. It is poor at noticing that a button looks disabled when it is not, that a checkout feels slow on hotel Wi-Fi or that an error message blames the user for a server problem. People notice those things.
Our manual QA testing service combines exploratory testing, where experienced analysts probe your product for weaknesses, with scripted test cases that cover your critical paths release after release. We test on real hardware from our Houston lab, not only on emulators, and we file bugs your developers can reproduce in minutes.
At a glance
- Exploratory and scripted test cycles
- 38 real devices plus all major browsers
- Cycles from 3 days to ongoing retainers
- Bugs filed directly into your tracker
- Named test lead on every project
What is included
Manual QA coverage that fits your release
Exploratory testing
Time boxed sessions led by charters, such as breaking the signup flow, that surface bugs no script predicted.
Test case design
We write and maintain test cases for your critical journeys in TestRail, Qase or a shared sheet.
Regression testing
Before every release we rerun the cases most likely to break, based on what changed in the sprint.
Device and browser coverage
Current and older iPhones, Samsung, Pixel and budget Android phones, tablets and desktop browsers.
Real network conditions
We test on throttled, flaky and offline connections to find the timeouts customers actually hit.
Developer ready bug reports
Steps, expected and actual results, build number, device, logs and a short video on every issue.
Our process
How a manual QA cycle works
Review the build
We walk through the release notes and agree on scope and risk areas.
Plan coverage
A written plan maps features to devices, test cases and exploratory charters.
Test and file
Analysts test, reproduce and file bugs, with a daily summary to your team.
Verify and sign off
We retest fixes and issue a release readiness recommendation.
Who it is for
For teams that need QA without hiring a QA department
Manual QA testing is a good fit for startups without a dedicated tester, product teams whose developers are doing their own QA and established companies that need extra hands around a big release. It is also the right first step before a managed beta, and it tells you which flows are stable enough to hand to test automation.
You will receive
- Written test plan and coverage matrix
- Verified bugs in Jira, Linear or GitHub
- Daily status summary
- Test case library you keep
- Release readiness report with ship or hold call
FAQ
Manual QA testing questions
What is the difference between exploratory and scripted testing?
Scripted testing follows written test cases step by step, which is ideal for regression. Exploratory testing gives an experienced analyst a goal and a time box and lets them investigate, which is better at finding new and unexpected bugs. We use both in every cycle.
Do you test on real devices or emulators?
Real devices first. Our lab holds 38 phones, tablets and computers. We use emulators and cloud device farms to extend coverage to rare models when a client needs it.
How quickly will we see bugs?
Most clients see their first verified bugs within the first day of a cycle. Critical issues are flagged to your team in Slack or email as soon as they are confirmed.
Can you work with our existing test cases?
Yes. We can import your current test cases, clean them up and extend them, or start from scratch if you do not have any yet.
